Such a generic blog post title, but with all the rain lately, this is what I was feeling. Rain, rain go away- I have too many outdoor sessions this time of year to have you stay! lol But seriously- the fall colors are so pretty, and with about half of my mini sessions left, I cannot wait to get many adorable families in front of my camera.

And after fall brings….. winter! Yes, whether I like it or not, it does follow fall and with that will be a set of holiday mini sessions! Next week I’ll be shooting sample shots on a new set and also bringing back a few favorites to give clients a variety of choices. I will begin booking those at the end of next week, and the dates for those will be Nov. 5th and Nov. 10th.

Now for some sweetness. Happy Friday!!

Meet any parent, and they usually will agree on this- kids grow up way too fast. Right? In a blink they go from helpless baby to proud preschooler, and from there- it continues to just go so so fast. I know this to be true with my own three kids, and I also see it when I have the honor to continually photograph a family through the years and see it in their kids. Meet Luke- he came in for his 3 year portraits recently with older brother and sister. I have been lucky enough to photograph Luke since he was just days old, and his sister since SHE was just days old, and finally, eldest brother at just 6 weeks old. It is one of my favorite parts of my job- being able to capture a family in such different stages for so many years. I am blessed. Thank you “S” family for entrusting me for years to capture your sweeties for you.

I put my vegetable garden in yesterday, and it really started to feel like summer was here. Although yes, I did look at the upcoming forecast and see the low 60’s and 50’s they predict. But for today I am enjoying the sun and the freedom of summer coming and kids out of school. Wrapping up the month with a few more Mommy and Me mini sessions- I just adore these, and if you forgot to book yours, give the studio a call as I can never turn a mom away who wants photos with her kids. <3 I’ve had a few more new miracles in as well- so adorable and sweet- there is nothing like the newness of a new baby just days old. I’m gifting a free 8×10 print to all newborn sessions booked May-August so email the studio today to reserve your session! Then finally- June will bring a few more events to the schedule. I can’t leave the dads out- so the Daddy and Me mini sessions will book throughout June, and then by popular request- The Dog Days of Summer Pet mini sessions event is back! Pets are family too- don’t miss this amazing promotion to capture some professional photos of your other “children”- alone or with your kiddos. Happy Memorial Day! May the rain stay away and you be blessed to be around those you love.

Spring is in the air! I’ve been enjoying the Mommy and Me mini sessions at the studio, and I do have a few spots left if you still want to get in for this fun event. You will always treasure photos with you and your kiddos.  Don’t delay- they grow so fast! I know as my son, 12, now is taller than me. sigh…. It’s a good thing I get to snuggle all the precious newborns at my studio. This month has brought new babies, moms with kids/ grandmas, and spring sport photography! I am so blessed to have a job I love so much. Here are a few photos from recent sessions. Happy belated Mother’s Day to all you moms out there!!!

Well, winter is back. This white stuff I have to shovel again has invaded my nice snow-free yard and sidewalks. Anyone who knows me knows I dislike winter. But it doesn’t bother me as much this time around as I leave Saturday for sunnier grounds and 80 degree temperatures. Fingers crossed the snow is all gone when I come back, and hopefully this means March will be going out like a lamb, perhaps?

I got to photograph the most adorable set of twins in the studio the other day. Brooklyn and Mason were so good for me!
