I am honored to be known as one of the Twin Cities premier newborn photographers, and newborns are my favorite subject to photograph! The ideal time for a newborn session is less than two weeks old. So when should you contact me to schedule your newborn session? It is best to contact the studio before your estimated due date. When you reserve your session your due date will be placed on the schedule, and then when baby arrives- email or call right away. (love when new moms or dads call me from the hospital!) This is the best way to ensure your baby’s session will occur when they are just days old.  I do also leave slots in my schedule to accommodate newborns with short notice, but the schedule can get full so contacting early is the best way.

Why so early?  The newness is gone before you know it, and the earlier they are the better they sleep  and curl for the adorable newborn poses. Also, baby acne typically sets in around the 2-3 week mark, another reason to do it sooner rather than later. You will never regret doing these photos. They are truly once in a lifetime, and that time goes just so fast!

bannernbpage-2Sessions last 2-3 hours just depending on baby, and the time is never rushed. Clients get access to the MANY dozens of hand knit hats, headbands, baskets, buckets, and other unique props the studio continues to collect. With the huge studio space, parents and siblings can relax and enjoy the experience of documenting the new arrival. Our reception area keeps toddlers busy and entertained, and our refreshment area can give mom and dad a little caffeine boost and snack. Clients often say how relaxing and enjoyable the experience is, and I have enjoyed being called “The Baby Whisperer” more than once. 🙂
